Holy Orders or Ordination, is the sacrament by which bishops, priests and deacons are ordained to the priesthood. Holy Orders is also a vocation—a calling by the Lord to follow and to serve in a special and complete way.
Holy Orders, which was instituted by Christ himself, is administered by the laying on of hands by the Bishop, through which the priest is given a special role to serve the Church through his preaching, teaching and celebration of the Sacraments.
If you would like to learn more about this Sacrament, or believe God may be calling you to become a priest or permanent deacon, we encourage you to set up an appointment with one of our parish priests.
