Service to our neighbor is part of our identity as Christians and part of Jesus' call to us. This tab will help you learn about the various ways to serve here at Sacred Hearts.
The Sacred Hearts Parish Food Pantry is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 7:30 to 11 am at 16 Carleton Avenue, Bradford, MA. Bring proof of current Haverhill residency or a valid ID. Please note that we are closed during weather emergencies.
The Sacred Hearts Food Pantry serves over 1,200 Haverhill families each week. It is run by the Sacred Hearts St. Vincent de Paul Conference, which also helps neighbors in need with rent, utilities, and other basics.“The right to food is one of the most basic human rights. It is a fundamental human need that must be met”

“Let us do all the good we can, and trust God to do the rest.” -Blessed Frederic Ozanam, founder, Society of St. Vincent de Paul
The mission of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is to serve God by serving the poor.
Our core activity is visiting the needy in their homes, providing urgent assistance with rent and utilities. We also provide food through our food pantry and furniture and clothing through St. Vincent de Paul stores.
St. Vincent de Paul conferences help prevent homelessness. Volunteers bring a caring heart, a listening ear, and a helping hand to our neighbors in need. We walk with our neighbors, offering hope, just as Jesus walks with us.
Will you help us with our mission? There’s something for everyone.
Pray!
Jesus tells us, “Whatever you ask for in faith-filled prayer, you will receive” (Matthew 21:22). Please pray for our neighbors and our ability to help them.
Donate!
Volunteer!
We visit our neighbors in need in teams of two. Come see the face of Jesus in those in need.
If you are interested in joining the SVDP Society, email us at [email protected]. We’d love to have you!

The world needs more knights!
Council 5004 is associated with Sacred Hearts/St Patrick's. Some of our better-known charitable contributions are: The Back Pack program where with the support of the Parish we distribute packs full of school supplies to 300 elementary children in Haverhill and Groveland. Our Christmas wreath sales; 100% of the profits from this go to buying winter clothing for the Pregnancy Care Center in Haverhill. We have been donating 2,000 pounds of rice to the food pantry each quarter for the last two years. There are other charitable activities as well. We are always open to having more men join us.
