WELCOME and thank you for visiting the Sacred Hearts Faith Formation page! Sacred Hearts Parish offers faith formation for students in grades K-10th. Classes meet regularly throughout the school year and help children develop a close, personal, relationship with God and a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith.
The program is responsible for sacramental preparation in all grades. Sacramental preparation for Reconciliation and Communion and reception of those sacraments typically takes place in 2nd grade. Sacramental preparation for Confirmation typically takes place in 9th and 10th grade with reception in 11th grade.
Parents of students with special needs are encouraged to contact us about participating in our programs. We look forward to partnering with you to help your child walk by faith.
Blessings,
Mae Ba, Director of Faith Formation

One of the most important content we integrate within faith formation is to read, pray, and reflect on the Gospel readings every week. You can find daily readings and video reflections at: http://www.usccb.org/bible/readings/031520.cfm.
Stewardship Volunteer Opportunities
The strength of our program relies upon the generosity and gifts of all of our volunteers. We have very flexibility opportunities with various commitment.
Catechists/Substitutes– be witnesses to the Gospel of Joy by sharing our faith with our young people through prayer, catechesis, and service; to help children develop a love for God and an understanding of the Catholic faith
Aides – to assist catechists in the classroom; ideal for Confirmation students looking for service hours
Door/Hall monitors - help keep our students safe throughout our buildings and grounds
Donate Amazon Gift Cards - help provide wish list items of supplies and materials we use for our classes and special events. Any amount will be joyfully accepted. Please mail to the attention: Sacred Hearts Pastoral Center, Faith Formation Office, 48 S. Chestnut Street, Bradford, MA 01835.
Sacramental Preparation - help with preparing banners, retreats, and events for First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation
Office Assistants – help with collating lesson plans, copying, organizing, and preparing materials and resources
Safety Curriculum Teachers – to help teach, two times throughout the year, the Archdiocese’s required safety curriculum
VBC volunteers – assist in planning, organizing and running of our Vacation Bible Camp in June 2023.
All Faith Formation volunteers must complete an annual CORI and complete the Protecting God’s Children program.
